Gloria Furst began her pottery avocation in the late 1970's when her children were young. Time spent in classes at the local pottery studio provided a welcome respite from the world of work and motherhood. A 15 year hiatus was necessary as her children grew and work increased. She has once again returned to the pottery studio. Her work can be seen in private collections in Hawaii, Arizona, North Carolina, New York, Boston and Metro Washington, DC.
